Anne Isabel Kraus is the coordinator of the Center for Peace Mediation and the Institute for Conflict Management at the European University Viadrina.

Biography:

Ms. Kraus holds an M.A. in Comparative and German Literature from Humboldt and Free University Berlin. She specialized in procedural and intercultural aspects of Alternative Dispute Resolution during her postgraduate studies in Philosophy and Applied Ethics at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich.

As fellow of the joint project of the European Commission`s EU-China European Studies Centres Programme of the Center for Applied Policy Research (CAP), Munich, and the Center for European Studies, Renmin University of China, Beijing, she focused on mediating Western and Chinese conflict resolution preferences. She teaches ADR skills in the European-Chinese context at Center for Negotiation and Mediation (CVM) Munich. In addition Ms. Kraus also teaches for the Master's Program in Human Rights & Genocide Studies and the Master's Program in Human Rights & Humanitarian Law.

Areas of Expertise:

Intercultural aspects of peace mediation, Euro-Asia context in conflict resolution, procedural preferences in conflict resolution.
