Dr. Anne Isabel Kraus is Co-Director of the Center for Peace Mediation.
Biography:
Dr. Kraus holds an M.A. in Comparative and German Literature from Humboldt University and Free University of Berlin and a PhD in Philosophy from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She was educated as a mediator at the Center for Negotiation and Mediation, Munich. From 2006 to 2007, she was a fellow of the EU-China Program of the Center for Applied Policy Research (CAP), Munich, and the Center for European Studies, Renmin University of China, Beijing, doing comparative research on Western and Chinese conflict resolution styles. Her PhD thesis focused on overcoming procedural and ethical dilemmas of conflict resolution in intercultural settings.Anne Isabel Kraus lectures on conflict management methods and skills in the Master's Program on Mediation and at the Training Academy for International Diplomats at the German Federal Foreign Office. Since 2009, she is a faculty member of the Master of International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law – LL.M. and the Master of Human Rights and Genocide Studies.
