Training & Teaching > Master’s Program in Mediation
The Master’s Program in Mediation is an interdisciplinary, post-graduate program at the European University Viadrina, offered in cooperation with the Institut für Anwaltsrecht at Humboldt University.
The three-semester program consists of a comprehensive practical mediation training and academic lectures. Courses are taught in German and partly taken as distance learning modules, partly offered as correspondence courses. For the master’s degree (“Master of Arts”, M.A.) candidates write their master’s thesis on a comprehensive research project which is conducted in the last semester. The program includes specialized courses in business mediation, as well as family, state and administrative, court-annexed mediation, or international peace processes.
As a part of the program, students can specialize in international conflict management. In this regard, the Center for Peace Mediation offers symposiums, seminars, and workshops, which are also open to external participants.
