Dr. Christian Hochmuth, Managing Coordinator
Dr. Christian Hochmuth, scholar-practitioner of conflict management, is General Manager of the Center for Peace Mediation and the Institute for Conflict Management at the European University Viadrina.
Christian Hochmuth is an historian, political scientist and mediator. He studied at the University of Freiburg, Durham University and Humboldt University Berlin. He received a Master of Science in Economic and Social History from the University of Oxford and a PhD from Dresden University of Technology. Christian Hochmuth was a research assistant in the Collaborative Research Centre “Institutionalität und Geschichtlichkeit” at Dresden University of Technology and conducted research on informal conflict resolution in the pre-modern period. He was trained as a mediator at Centrale für Mediation (CfM) in Germany.
