Conflict Prevention and Management Course in Master of International Human Rights & Humanitarian Law, LL.M.

At the European-University Viadrina, students of the Master Program International Human Rights & Humanitarian Law, LLM  can specialize in Conflict Prevention and Management. The course offers an introduction into the basic principles and methods of interest-based peace mediation in the context of international human rights law with a special focus on armed conflicts. 

The Master of International Human Rights & Humanitarian Law, LLM is a three-semester program at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) providing in-depth study of human rights protection in times of peace and war. The special character of this postgraduate program lies in its integration of general human rights protection with rights protection in diverse situations of armed conflict. In this regard, the program aims  to provide a solid theoretical understanding of the issues, principles, structures, substantive law and institutions relevant to this topic while equipping students with practical skills in conflict resolution, peace mediation and diplomacy.
