Dr. Martin Wählisch, Associated Researcher and Lecturer
​

Martin Wählisch is an affiliated lecturer and researcher at the Center for Peace Mediation and the Institute for Conflict Management at the European University Viadrina. 

He is a Political Affairs Officer at the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon (UNSCOL) and an associate of the Berghof Foundation. 

Martin Wählisch graduated from the Humboldt University of Berlin (Faculty of Law), earned a post-graduate Master of Arts (M.A.) in Mediation from the European University Viadrina and holds a PhD (Dr. jur.) in Public International Law from Humboldt University of Berlin. He is also admitted to the German Bar (Assessor jur.). Among others, he has been a visiting scholar at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law (University of Cambridge), Durham University (Faculty of Law), the Harriman Institute (Columbia University), and Institute for Global Law, Justice & Policy (New York Law School). Martin Wählisch is a lecturer in the Master's Program in Mediation (MA Program) and faculty member of the Master of Human Rights & Humanitarian Law (LLM Program) at the European University Viadrina. ​

Human Rights and Legal Aspects in International Conflict Resolution; Transitional Justice; UN Peace Mediation; Strategic Planning, Analysis of Peace Processes.
