Training: Conflict Management for International Diplomats at the Federal Foreign Office's
Academy

Since 2008, the Center for Peace Mediation is holding seminars on Conflict Prevention and Management for mid-level and senior diplomats from all global regions at the Federal Foreign Office's Foreign Service Academy. The 1- or 2-day seminars provide an introduction into basic instruments of conflict analysis, interest-based methods of international conflict management and the design of peace processes and sustainable peace agreements. To strengthen their skills and explore their individual potentials and limits in dealing with international conflicts, the participants directly apply these methods and instruments in interactive role-plays and simulations.

In its Training Programs for International Diplomats, the Federal Foreign Office's Foreign Service Academy offers diplomats as well as High Level Experts from all over the world opportunities to improve their professional skills. The program lays the foundation for Germany’s worldwide diplomatic network.
